Blueprint Financial Advisors, a wealth management firm that empowers financial advisors to focus on growing their business and serving clients rather than day-to-day operations, experienced significant growth in 2025, which has continued into Q1’26 and is supported by the hiring of Shepard Ottaway.
“Last year was marked by unprecedented growth for Blueprint Financial Advisors, as we expanded from around $200 million in 2024 to more than $1 billion in 2025,” says Blueprint Financial Advisors President Andrea Johnson Swope. “Since our model for serving financial advisors who join our network is white glove, we depend on high-achieving Relationship Managers like Shepard. He works alongside our advisors to ensure the core principles of Blueprint Financial Advisors are demonstrated in every interaction an advisor – and ultimately the advisors’ clients – have with our team.”
Advisors who join Blueprint Financial Advisors gain access to comprehensive wealth management solutions in the areas of practice management, technology, in-house back-office capabilities, and customized asset management. This allows entrepreneurial advisors to focus their time on serving clients and nurturing prospects.
“My personal and professional background in athletics, leadership, finance, and financial advising naturally motivate me to approach each advisor and client relationship with discipline, focus, and a commitment to long-term success – and I feel like I’ve found a team that shares that approach at Blueprint Financial Advisors,” says Ottaway. “It’s incredibly rewarding to know our efforts are immediately impacting how an advisor is able to operate their firm, interact with clients, and live their personal lives.”
Before joining the firm, Ottaway built a strong foundation in how to support individuals and families with their insurance and retirement planning needs at Western & Southern Life. In 2021, he continued his career as a financial advisor at Midtown Financial Advisors, expanding his ability to serve clients with tailored strategies and solutions. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business management while competing on the track team all four years at Wingate University.
